Beach

The entrance to the Laurel Park Beach is located at the bottom of Laurel Lane. Members and their guests may enjoy the beach 365 days per year. Members may access the beach with their dogs/pets between Oct. 1st and May 1st, annually. Clamming is popular at low tide, provided that regulated shellfish areas are open. Sunbathing and swimming are popular at high tide.

The sandy beach is approximately 30’ long. The swimming area is equally as long and wide with a buoyed enclosure where boats are not allowed. There is no lifeguard on duty. Parents are asked to supervise young children on the beach and in the water. LPIA provides wooden chairs and a picnic table for member’s convenience and comfort. Members are asked to “carry in/carry out” their recyclables and trash, as there are no receptacles on the beach.

LPIA members and their guests can make use of a convenient parking lot for easy access to the shoreline. Members are required to have an LPIA sticker clearly displayed on their car window.

Members may drive their vehicles and trailers to the beach in order to launch watercraft and to load/unload gear. A chain link, locked gate across the sandy road to the beach is to keep out unauthorized vehicles; however, members are able to walk around the gate via a footpath. Members are given keys to access the parking lot and beach. These are security keys, and may not be reproduced.

Adjacent to the beach is a boat ramp for launching small watercraft. Each residential household may apply to the Town of Warren for a mooring in the Kickemuit River which requires a yearly fee.
